The Automatic Movement — 33 Jewels, No Battery

Inside the Gravitas sits an automatic calibre with 33 jewels — synthetic rubies placed at high-friction pivot points to reduce wear and maintain accuracy over years of use. The rotor, a weighted half-circle visible through the skeleton dial, spins with the natural movement of your wrist and continuously winds the mainspring. Energy from the mainspring releases in a controlled sequence through the gear train to the hands.

No battery. No charging point. This automatic watch for men runs as long as it's worn. After sitting unworn for roughly 40 hours, the crown winds it back to full power in a few turns. The continuous sweep of the seconds hand — unlike the tick of a quartz — is the unmistakable signature of a mechanical automatic calibre.

The Skeleton Dial — Full Movement Visible

A skeleton dial removes the solid dial face entirely. What remains is the movement frame, the bridges, the gear train, the balance wheel oscillating at its own frequency, and 33 jewels embedded into the movement — visible, identifiable, real.

The Gravitas All Black takes the skeleton design further than most watches at this price: the dial is dark, the hour markers luminous, and the exhibition case back exposes the full movement from the reverse as well.

The Octagonal Case — Geometry Borrowed From Luxury

Eight sides. Eight corner screws. The octagonal case shape is a design language historically associated with luxury sports watches — Royal Oak, Nautilus, Ingenieur — where angular geometry replaced the traditional round case to signal something different.

The Gravitas All Black borrows this geometry without the accompanying price. Fully finished in matte black with a brushed texture that absorbs rather than reflects light, the case sits solid on the wrist without bulk. The case back is stainless steel.

The Integrated Black Bracelet — One Continuous Form

The 5-link integrated stainless steel bracelet is finished in matte black and designed to sit flush where bracelet meets case — no visible gap, no mismatch in tone or texture. An integrated bracelet is engineered as part of the case design rather than added as a separate component; the result is a watch that wears as one continuous object from lug to lug. The deployant clasp opens and closes with a solid click. Link removal for sizing is done with a standard strap tool.

Water Resistance — 3 ATM

3 ATM water resistance covers rain, splashes, and hand-washing without concern. It does not cover swimming, showering, or submersion. Keep perfumes, creams, and cleaning chemicals away from the case surface — these degrade rubber seals over time, even on water-resistant watches.

2. Store flat or on a watch stand when not worn — avoid strong magnets (speaker systems, laptop bases, phone cases with magnets) which can disrupt the balance wheel
3. Wipe the case and bracelet with a soft dry cloth after wear — avoid abrasive cloths on the matte black finish
4. Keep away from perfumes, colognes, sunscreen, and cleaning products — apply these before putting the watch on
5. Service the movement every 3–5 years at a qualified watchmaker — cleaning and lubrication maintains accuracy and extends the movement's lifespan
6. 3 ATM water resistance: rain and splashes are fine — swimming, diving, and showering are not
